Frequently Asked Questions
-
No! I am focused only on your event that evening.
-
Yes, I do! I always bring my own decks. I also bring my own speakers, wireless microphone, and lighting—depending on the needs of your event (see my Services for more detail).
If your venue has specific rules around sound (e.g. they require DJs to use their in-house system, etc), that’s something I will liaise with them about beforehand as part of my preparation.
-
No, I don’t charge for setup or pack-down, so a 5-hour booking means 5 hours of music playtime.
I generally arrive at your venue 60–90 minutes before call-time to set up and sound-check, and I’m out of your venue within an hour after the last song.
-
Yes! I love vibing with the dance floor, and if the request fits the flow, I’ll play it :)

While I cut my teeth as an RnB and Hip-Hop DJ, after a decade and a half as a professional club and mobile events DJ I am open format. This means I am highly versatile and able to play most genres of music: RnB, Hip-Hop, Pop/K-Pop/C-Pop, Disco, EDM (Big Room, Hardstyle, Progressive House, Techno, Hard Dance).
And although I can’t get enough of contemporary music, I also love spinning throwback tracks, rock classics, and golden oldies.
These days, the genres I love to mix when I throw my own parties include Amapiano, Afrobeats, Alt-RnB edits, and Baile Funk.
If you don’t see your favourite genre listed, it’s just because I’m running out of character space—chances are, I love that genre too! Get in touch, and let’s chat chyoons 🎵

While most of my events are in the Metro Sydney area, I have had some great events further out. If your event is outside the Metro area, please get in touch and note that travel charges may apply.

Awesome! Once you’re happy with the quote you got in response to your Inquiry, make the initial deposit with your reference details to lock in the date with me.
I’ll send you a confirmation email as soon as I receive the deposit, along with the next steps for music preparation.
The remaining balance is due one week prior to your event date.

You’ll receive a Music Questionnaire so I can capture your selections for
Background and Dinner music;
Formality songs (Grand Entrances, Cake-cutting, First Dance, etc); and
Dance Floor genres
The Music Questionnaire will contain:
links to inspiration playlists;
space for you to include notes about any special event items you’re including, (e.g. additional performers, special dances, etc); and
tips and tricks for having a fun and seamless reception.
